We’re looking for a Privacy & International Counsel to join our growing Turo team in Toronto, London, or San Francisco. 
You will be responsible for providing support and advice to Turo’s global product, information security, engineering, and operations teams on privacy compliance and support non-US business and operations teams in their day to day legal needs. You must have excellent judgment in balancing legal risks with business strategy and a proven ability to learn new areas of law and function independently in a demanding fast-paced environment. 

• - JD and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in law firms, governmental agencies, and/or in-house legal departments.

• - In-house experience at a multinational, consumer-facing technology company is strongly preferred.

• - Qualified as a lawyer in either at least one EU jurisdiction or CA province, preferably with IAPP/other privacy certification

• - Strong experience with global privacy laws relevant to consumer facing technology companies.

• - Strong academic credentials.

• - Experience working with international teams (EMEA, Canada, APAC, LATAM).

• - High level of integrity, professionalism, intellectual curiosity, sense of humor, and willingness to grow.
