VP of Legal and Compliance

Description
- Negotiate, draft and review an array of commercial transactions, rights, and licensing agreements.
- Establish organization-wide processes for contract flow, employee onboarding compliance and HR policies.
- Planning, overseeing, and executing the Company’s corporate compliance policies and strategy.
- Work with business partners (LSPs) to create templates and guidelines to allow teams to independently address common commercial needs.
- Partner with product, design, and engineering to identify and evaluate business and legal risks, while working to find ways to mitigate risk and achieve business goals.
- Train and educate the Company’s business teams on legal issues relating to its commercial relationships and agreements, including playbooks and FAQs.
Responsibilities
· JD from an accredited U.S. Law School; licensed in good standing with state bar.
· 3+ years of experience in intellectual property rights.
· 3+ years in a fast-paced SaaS technology company.
· 2+ years experience in Healthcare.
· Knowledge of HIPAA, GDPR, ISO, HiTrust, SOC II.
· Experience with reseller models and agreements a big +
· Experience working with Software platforms with Channel Sales component a big +
· Creative thinker who is comfortable with change, ambiguity and pace, and is able to bring a first principles approach to building scalable processes.
· Bilingual and interest in languages is preferred but not required.
