CAD (SolidWorks) Application Expert

Description

  1. Provide phone and web based troubleshooting for SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, Simulation Flow, Enterprise PDM, SolidWorks Composer, SolidWorks Electrical and other downstream applications.
  2. Conduct standard and custom training for SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, Simulation Flow, Enterprise PDM, SolidWorks Composer, SolidWorks Electrical and other downstream applications.
  3. Maintain training hardware and infrastructure, including system backup, hardware upgrades, general training room set up.
  4. Provide standard and custom product demonstrations for SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, Simulation Flow, Enterprise PDM, SolidWorks Composer, SolidWorks Electrical and other downstream applications.
  5. Provide installation, implementation, and best practices techniques for SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, Simulation Flow, Enterprise PDM, SolidWorks Composer, SolidWorks Electrical and other downstream applications.

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology related discipline.
  • Experience in Mechanical Computer Aided Design/Engineering technical sales; and/or equivalent experience in Aero, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or Design field.
  • Experience with engineering, and computer troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences.
  • Must have previous experience with 3D computer aided design product SolidWorks and/or others such as Pro/Engineer, or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft O/S (Windows XP, Vista, and 7) and MS Office products.
  • Experience with analysis (FEA, CFD) programs (COSMOSWorks, ANSYS or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience using and implementing PDM programs (Enterprise PDM) is a plus.
  • Experience with Visual Basic programming and/or database (SQL Server) work is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
