Content and WeChat Specialist

Description

  • Develop Chinese content to help clients raise brand awareness, boost consideration and drive conversions
  • Understand different clients’ brand requirements, tone and manner, and language styles
  • Create tailored content for various media platforms, which includes local social and digital media, print media, OOH channels, WeChat platforms, etc. 
  • Create high quality WeChat advertorials, articles, banner ads copy, as well as online articles
  • Provide creative translation for social media, google ads, print ads, OOH ads, etc.
  • Provide professional translation to website, brochure, A-kit, landing page and other marketing materials
  • Understand production process and ensure all content deliverables are met on time and completed with high quality and on brand
  • Stay up to date with real estate trends and hot topics
  • Review own and competitor's content performance and provide insight
  • Handle WeChat service account registrations/verification and annual renewal 
  • Create and maintain clients’ social media calendars and schedules
  • Post articles and messages on WeChat and Weibo on behalf of our clients 
  • Assist with WeChat Moment Ads and WeChat Banner Ads (setup, running, optimizing and reporting)
  • Use analytical tools (e.g. WeChat Analytics) to monitor and evaluate the performance on client’s WeChat account: followers, organic posts’ views, engagement on the regular basis
  • Provide WeChat data updates to account managers when needed, prepare monthly reports on WeChat marketing efforts and results to internal and external stakeholders
  • Make recommendations to adjust WeChat marketing strategy for optimal results
  • Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in Chinese social media like Red Book

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor degree in a related discipline (e.g. Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing) is preferred 
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working in an English speaking workplace, for a marketing team in a corporate company, marketing agency or local media
  • Proven record of writing or editing experience is a must. Experience in creating real estate articles is preferred
  • Familiar with WeChat account backend and experience in growing WeChat followers 
  • Fluent in speaking both English and Mandarin
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills in Chinese (both simplified and traditional Chinese is preferred) and English 
  • Good knowledge of marketing communications principles, practices and techniques
  • Detail-oriented and creative thinker
  • Initiative and is adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills — you take initiative to proactively identify and resolve problems and issues
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent time management skills — you are able to juggle competing demands from multiple clients, meet deadlines and manage your own schedule
  • Experience in using WeChat and Weibo
  • Comfortable with remote work tools and strong ability to learn systems quickly (Scoro, Slack, Google Suite, Xiumi, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of WeChat analysis, follower growth plan and WeChat design tool like Xiumi
