Description
- Oversee the linguistic quality of our Ancestry products into Spanish
- Translate Ancestry products and related marketing materials into Spanish, ensuring the overall linguistic quality of each
- Manage the overall localization process for Spanish-speaking markets from start to completion
- Facilitate the development of clear requirements, budgets and timelines with internal teams and outside vendors
- Collaborate with US-based product managers, designers, engineers and content creators to ensure that solutions consider Spanish-speaking customers from the start
Responsibilities
- Experience as a professional translator into Spanish
- Native Spanish fluency
- Education and practical experience in a relevant field such as translation, localization, international business, or linguistics
- Proficiency in industry standard localization tools (e.g., SDL TRADOS)
- Capabilities in leading internal and external teams in linguistic QA processes
- Additional multilingual capability in additional core languages (such as French, German, Swedish, Italian) highly regarded but not required
