Digital Localization Specialist

Description
- Maintain a high-standard of Translations and Localization on all online and offline platforms/assets
- Collaborate on ad-hoc language projects as and when required
- Operate the Content Management System (CMS) translations wizard when needed to push translations
- Collaborate with marketing, branding and other internal teams to determine their needs and recommend solutions that meet those needs.
- Manage timelines for the end to end process from intake of request, to publishing to the site or delivery of offline assets, delivering projects on time and within budgetary guidelines
- Manage end to end translations process on content requests through CMS or vendor portal.
- Ensure workflow remains nimble and updates are handled as quickly and efficiently as possible, in line with the LSPs turnaround times and in-house SLAs.
- Review reported localization requests and provide/implement the fix or workaround.
- Follow and uphold Brand and Site style guides and standards, guidelines provided by the SEO team and ADA compliance.
- Identify localization related bugs and submit tickets in the reporting tool (both specific to Radisson Hotel Group and LSPs).
- Work with Product teams to test features and services for local markets and uphold established quality standards
- Assist in maintaining linguistic style guides, translation memories, and terminology databases.
- Represent linguistic and cultural nuances in cross-functional meetings
- Assist in documenting process and best practices, sharing these to a larger audience when needed
Responsibilities
- A high/native level of English, speaking a second language to a fluent level is a plus
- Culturally sensitive and the ability to work well with a diverse team
- Familiar with ticketing systems and SLA Compliance (Workfront knowledge is a plus)
- Experience managing content for a global audience preferred.
- High degree of ownership and accountability.
- Balance multiple projects, assignments, and launches simultaneously within a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities adapting well to rapidly changing, time-constrained launch schedules
- Ability to work with technical staff to communicate issues.
- CMS Technical understanding or Project Management skills is a plus
- 2+ years of content management, strategy, localization and/or technology.
- Ability to quality review and/or translate a minimum of 2,000 words a day
- Understands the language nuisances between source markets (i.e. French Canada vs. France vs. Belgium) and can adapt translated text accordingly
- Fluent speaker of additional language(s)
- Excellent working knowledge of industry leading translations/localization technology (i.e. SDL Trados, Translations.com GlobalLink Suite of Products).
- Previously worked in a multi-lingual, multi-brand content management process, across markets and channels.
- Working with leading web or enterprise content management systems (e.g. SDL Tridion)
- Fluent in Microsoft products and online tools
