Assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.

The Project Manager is responsible to the project stakeholders for delivering a project’s objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

Managing project spend on expense budgets.

Define and clarify project scope while developing and maintaining the project schedule. Ownership for managing and reporting project progress.

Work closely with Regulatory Quality, Design, Clinical and Operations to drive successful project implementation.

Participate in the selection, training and performance appraisal process of project resources, including temporary contract SMEs as required.

Establishment of priorities, imparting a sense of urgency and importance to the team while using project management tools and techniques to support the delivery of new products per cost and time commit.

Actively participate in the development process for assigned projects with focus on innovation, time to market, cost minimisation, DFM (Design for manufacture) and in built product quality.

Compiles project plans for assigned projects and coordinates project team meetings. Communicates regular updates on project status to divisional RA, Quality and R&D leadership and project sponsors. Coordinates with business units, advanced operations, suppliers and functional leaders as needed to ensure specific cost, time and/or regulatory standards are met. Communicates regular updates on project status to senior management, the project team, stakeholders and sponsors.

Responsibilities

Bachelors degree in an Engineering, Science or related degree with 3 or more years’ experience in a technical and/or project management role. A qualification in project management is desirable

Experience in a regulated environment preferred

Excellent Interpersonal Skills – able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Be open minded with the ability to recognize good ideas.

Excellent analytical skills, ability to plan, organize and implement concurrent tasks.

Will have demonstrated an ability to define project risk and to effectively manage project risks.

High level of PC Skills required. (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project).
