JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
To join the international translation department of approx 70 people, they wish to recruit Translation Proofreaders with the following languages: English, German, Dutch, French, Japanese, Arabic.

The current language combinations required are:

• English mother tongue with a degree in German and Dutch/French
• English mother tongue with a degree in Japanese and another EU language (preferably German/French)
• German mother tongue with a degree in English
• German mother tongue with a degree in French
• French mother tongue with a degree in German
• Portuguese mother tongue with a degree in English (with allowance for Pt-Br and Pt)
• Any of the above degrees plus a good working knowledge of Arabic sufficient to be able to read and edit Arabic texts.

Your role will be to proofread and check all translations that have been completed in the relevant languages. The job will include the following duties and responsibilities:

• Word-by-word checking of translations prepared by technical staff
• Adapting existing translations to conform to new versions of documents
• General office work relating to the finishing and dispatch of translations

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

• English , German, French or Portuguese to mother tongue standard + a fluent 2nd language from either English, German, Dutch, French, Japanese, Arabic
• Educated to degree/university level in a language discipline
• Have an ability to work quickly and proof read
• Experience of TRADOS is an advantage but not essential
