Description
* Build a deep understanding of Amify’s external customers and internal users - their needs, the jobs-to-be-done, why they love Amify, and what they wish could be better.
* Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will work on a cross-functional team to define the product vision for Amify and turn that vision into an actionable roadmap.
* Defining a robust and detailed backlog for upcoming features and work. Use that backlog to define upcoming sprints for the product development team.
* Work with product, marketing and engineering leadership to define buyer and user personas that will help guide our development decisions and prioritization.
* Develop a deep understanding of the ecommerce product landscape - what tools are out there, who are our competitors, what tools would complement our product.
* Conduct lease versus build analysis to identify if there are products in the market that will fit our business needs and can fit into our product stack.
* You help us focus on developing truly differentiated functionality in house instead of reinventing the wheel.
* Working with the Engineering team to drive the evolution of product capabilities by delivering quality features and products within the expected timeline.
* Supporting product & design process with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners across the organization.
* Supporting ongoing monitoring of business performance and P&L line items against KPIs.
Responsibilities
* We’ll expect you to learn quickly, be solution-focused, and thrive amid change.
* Collaborate - In rare cases, you’ll need to be an expert team of one. But most of the time, you’ll need to be flexible - wearing and sharing many hats with a fast-moving team. Egos, turf-guarding, and keeping knowledge to yourself simply won’t work.
* Client Focus - We’ll expect you to treat our clients’ businesses as if they’re your own. Amify’s success depends on the success of our clients, and you’ll play an extremely important role in helping our clients succeed.
* Expertise - You should be able to teach us something new, and relentlessly learn new skills, channels, and tools.
* Mentorship - We’ll expect you to support other team members as they develop new skills by guiding the work, providing timely feedback, and proactively sharing knowledge.
*5+ years of Product Management and/or Product Development experience.
* You have functioned as a product owner and run the sprint planning process for at least 1 development team, ideally 2.
* Exposure to deep data environments, preferably in ecommerce.
* Experience acting as a liaison between business & tech teams (engineers, strategic technology partnerships etc.) to define, prioritize, & deliver projects.
* Balances outstanding user insight with high analytical rigor.
* Driven to question assumptions and validate hypotheses.
* Obsesses over getting the product details right but knows how to ship on time.
* Trustworthy, Team-Oriented, Transparent.
* Excellent written and verbal skills.
* Bachelor's degree required.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills – you use spreadsheets for light work.
* Experience with at least one BI tool (Looker, Tableau, Domo, SAP, MicroStrategy, etc.)
* Competent with databases and SQL - know how to navigate a relational database system to get the data you need to make decisions or troubleshoot a bug.
* Scripting experience nice to have.
