Description
We are hiring for a new key position as part of Spendesk Product team.
This person will be responsible for Translation management at Spendesk, i.e. the process of translating and adapting the content of the platform in different languages, including the Product experience, notifications as well as Website and Marketing content.
This role will be instrumental in supporting our fast paced international expansion.
This person will achieve these goals by collaborating closely with an external translation agency, Product Managers, Product Designers and Marketing teams. They will also work closely with the engineering team to ensure overall quality of the Translation management of the platform: e.g. for the product strings and transactional emails.
This person will report to the Director of Program Management and Operations in the Product team.
What will be your mission(s)
- Drive the translation process with the high level of quality = gather translation needs from Product Managers, Product Designers and Marketing, understand priorities and timeline, coordinate translations work with the external agency and ensure overall quality of the process.
- Manage translation for the Spendesk UX, transactional emails and full scope of marketing materials. E.g. translate current platform towards Spanish, Italian and US English.
Responsibilities
- Own the relationship with the external translation agency, building trust and confidence as well as monitoring quality and timeliness of the translations.
- Own the translation processes and continuously improve time to market and completeness of translations on both Marketing content and Saas Product string.
- Consistently demonstrate customer orientation
- Collaborate cross functionally with teams such as Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success.
- Identify key internal stakeholders and build strong relationships with them.
- Communicate to partners and leadership on the milestones progresses.
Required Qualifications & Experiences
- Prior experience in managing Localization / Translation for a software product
- Proven ability to drive and successfully deliver complex, technical, cross-functional projects.
- Ability to work with an external partner and monitor quality of its performance (vendor management).
- Experience managing different stakeholders and competing priorities
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to dig in to complex topics.
- International experience and ability to speak different languages is a +.
