Associate SpLD Assessor
We are actively seeking knowledgeable, conscientious, and experienced Associate SpLD Assessors (Self-Employed Contractors) to join our Associate team at Lexxic, working with our Education Services Division.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering specialist diagnostic assessments for clients who present with dyslexia and when appropriate, including screening tools to identify the signs and characteristics of other neurodiverse conditions, such DCD/Dyspraxia and ADHD.
- Maintaining and developing knowledge in the wider field (e.g., developments in DSA and SASC guidelines) ensuring required changes to practice are implemented promptly.
- When required, provide consultancy and advice to clients on best practice in the field of neurodiversity.
- Undertaking bespoke projects as required.
Must Have:
- Hold a current APC
- Have professional indemnity insurance to the value of £1,000,000
- A valid ICO Certificate
- Proof of clean DBS Check
- Understand the DSA, as well as knowledge of current JCQ regulations
- Be committed to using assessment approaches to help neurodiverse individuals overcome the challenges they are experiencing in education and other settings
- Have some experience in using SASC guidance to complete specialist diagnostic assessments for adults in Higher Education
- Experience of completing assessments via video-link platforms
Nice to Have:
- Experience using SASC guidance to complete specialist diagnostic assessments for adults in employment and/or to offer workplace recommendations
- Experience in individual tutoring/training
Responsibilities
