Healthcare institutions conducting research are leveraging technology to drive more financial value – revenue and profit – from research, including reaching across care settings and reducing burden.
The goal of IQVIA’s Health Research Ecosystem (HRE) programme is to optimise clinical trials and studies. HRE is a developing portfolio of solutions to enable improved efficiency in site-based recruiting using technology, data and the health IT infrastructure.

As Deployment Project Manager for the Health Research Ecosystem program, you will be responsible for planning and implementation of technology solutions within healthcare provider sites across multiple countries, utilising a mix of provider, external partner and IQVIA technologies. While ensuring compliance with data protection and maintaining strong relationships across parties.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of project management concepts and practical applied experience
  • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) and health data interoperability solutions
  • Familiarity with issues pertaining to data privacy and regulations (e.g. GDPR), particularly constraints applicable to healthcare or clinical trial data
  • Familiarity with security concepts including firewall, VPN, and role-based-access-control
  • Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, OMOP and other relevant standards for data access and exchange
  • Knowledge of clinical terminologies and ontologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good command of the English language and ideally a second European language from: French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics, with good judgment and ability to manage competing priorities

  • Self-motivated personality able to work under minimal supervision

Minimum Required Education And Experience

  • 7+ years relevant health industry experience in implementation of EMR or data-focused projects
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working directly with provider institutions on technology and data initiatives leveraging provider organizations IT infrastructure, including patient-level data
  • Experience engaging with internal and external partners encompassing value propositions, requirements, contractual Statements of Work, management and acceptance of deliverables
  • Experience presenting to varying levels of stakeholder, with excellent fluency in PowerPoint to support presentation needs
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology or other Health or Life Science related disciplines, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Evaluate and understand provider research site technology infrastructure

  • Develop fact base for provider site technology in geographic areas of focus
  • Identify risks and mitigation related to introduction of new solutions at sites
  • Collaborate with the Director of Solution Architecture in:

    • Evaluating capabilities and reaching agreements with data interoperability partners
    • Shaping HRE deployment strategy; initial focus will be Europe
    • Ensuring strategy is best able to scale while remaining cost-effective

Assess, plan, and deploy HRE technology, with an emphasis on interoperability players and solutions

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders at provider sites (IT, Clinical, Management)
  • Gather information and document site technical landscape, data availability, workflows
  • Propose solutions leveraging the most appropriate combination of site and IQVIA technology, aligned with interoperability solutions accessing data behind the firewall, for use to recruit patients and perform other trial-related activities
  • Project planning of each technology deployment, reporting-up and tracking
    • Collaborate with the Director of Scaling & Engagement in managing both site expectations of delivery, and site obligations to ensure success
  • Project manage deployment into provider sites; including oversight of site dependencies, managing deliverables of technical partners, and individual contribution as appropriate
    (e.g. account configuration, facilitating acceptance testing & training, handover to site BAU)

Site engagement activities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Scaling & Engagement in site engagement activities, particularly technical aspects of: Information Governance, Privacy, Site infrastructure provision & resourcing expectations
  • Ability to reinforce HRE value proposition to providers, gathering feedback & contributing towards continuous refinement
    • Consider both R&DS and Real-World offerings and priorities
  • Contribute to prioritization of the HRE network growth, through knowledge of site technical capabilities, preferences and risks

Operational activities

  • Contribute to roadmap development, maintain risk & mitigation registers
  • Track HRE network growth to plan, escalating risks and issues
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop and refine processes across deployment and production monitoring, and interface between technical and client contacts
