What you will be doing as a Junior Account Manager?
Together with the Regional Business Manager you will have the full responsibility to maintain ongoing relationships with existing (key) clients including occasional client visits (when government regulations will allow this). You will make sure the inspection of the related assignment will be preformed as desired. This means timely delivery, reporting and managing the complete workflow between supply chain, operations,, inspection staff, laboratory and office staff.
When issues occur during these complex processes, you will be in charge to facilitate a suitable solution to your client(s) within established pricing and contract terms. Do you think you need to negotiate about this in order to live up to the business strategy and clients expectation? Go ahead.
At all times you will be involved with ad hoc projects in order to continuously work on process improvement which will benefit the overall business and efficient way of working.
It is diverse role - part commercial operations and part co-ordination. On one hand, you'll be the first point of contact for the clients. On the other hand, you will co-ordinate requests and proactively steer them through internal processes - that includes liaising with external suppliers and depots, and with internal colleagues.
Responsibilities
What the Junior Account Manager profile looks like;
You are a person that shows strong character, is result and commercial driven and has great analytical capacity. You have proven that you can take ownership of tasks and solve issues using your judgement and discretion. With some professional experience, you've shown you can work to guidelines and that you're a positive, helpful team member. There is a high workload and you will work with many deadlines; working under pressure and being organised is also one of your strongest skills.
Your Profile
- HBO level
- Fluent level in English; When you speak German, Dutch or French than this would be plus.
- Work experience in a trading position, commercial, customer service (order management B2B) or inspection role is mandatory. Internships can be taken into account as experience (depending on the type of internship).
- Experience in logistics (cargo, barge or supply) within the chemical, petrochemical or related would be a big plus. If you can show strong affinity with the industry than this will also be considered.
